a larger one. Donna and I are honored to welcome our returning guests each and every year. I realize that it is indeed your love of our
wonderful area of historical villages nestled in the trees, mountains and lakes, and secret places which are discovered by leisurely drives through the
country. This is what brings you to us and I am humbled as you indeed have a choice of accommodations. I reflect on a previous life years ago
teaching computer classes in California. If we had not elected to jump into this motel lifestyle, our paths would have not intersected with those
many interesting and friendly faces. We say THANK YOU for this!
Observing from the sidelines, we watch the kids grow up soooo quickly. And, for those of us that really don't fit the "kid" category
any longer, well it's just nice to be spending another week of another year together in Weirs Beach!
Tom and Company have made their way north from East Falmouth for quite some time now. Tom informed me that they plan on
following their dreams clear out to the Ozarks. Donna and I wish them the best of luck in their new adventure. Dale and Paul have made their northward journey from Ct. for a number of years to be part of the Nascar activities both in July
and September. I asked them to send their a photo from the venue as I've never been there during race time. Greg and Sue have been dropping by the past several years to attend the annual Laconia bike week rallies. They, like so many
of us who ride realize that the Lord blessed New Hampshire with some of the best touring to be found anywhere. They both are members of America's
Freedom defenders (americasfreedomdefenders.net) a motorcycle organization made up of veterans and family members of veterans who ride and support
military veterans past present and future. One will not find a nicer bunch of folks who honored us with a weekend visit, and while the weather was
clear it was a tad on the chilly side. Greg and Sue led them up into the White Mountains, and around the lake. We thank you for staying with us
and bringing an understanding of your organization. Each August brings the Timberman Triathlon to the Lakes area, and events can last a grueling 7 hours. Mike, along with Nancy
have taken the same room for a number of years so he can participate in his 11th year, now in the ..... (ready for this?) ... 70 - 74 age bracket!
To be honest, I have to admire those who can discipline themselves to do the amazing. So, while I sit here in the company of my comfort foods of the
morning, (coffee and muffin and that annoying little package of peanut M & M's calling my name) Mike will have jogged over 3 miles,
peddled 15 and swam 1/3 mile. For his efforts, he was awarded first place in his class. His departing words this morning, " Lord
willin' and the creek don't rise, I'll see you next year!" Way to go Mike! Our family reunion snapshot for 2011, (tho I would think that Lisa might have a talk with Jonsey!) Maybe it's just my way of thinking, but it seems the days idle along
while the years seem to rapidly slip away. Hard to believe that ANOTHER year has come and gone
and it's NASCAR season once again. This is our twelve year and many of the folks here have
been with us the entire time, and longer! Thanks guys! And by the way, we love having you here too!
So, our third BBQ and yet another year goes into the history books, one that will be remembered for the good weather, and the passing of the Buick Wagon. You are looking at six (should be seven: where's Frank?) reasons why Donna and I enjoy running the motel. We meet up with some of the
greatest folks who drop by and their bikes made our parking lot look really good during their visit. Departing Staten Island,
much of the day was spent touring the White Mountains, and they made it back just before the rain rolled in. The journey
continues as their next stop is Niagara Falls and beyond. A wonderful way to spend summer with friends.
To kick off our 2011 season, prom attendees honored the motel with their visit; complete with limo
these guys radiate grace, charm and style! Their evening was spent cruising the lake and we thank them for dropping by.
This summer, unlike the last one, has been nearly rain free (until now) and to Andrew age 7 (soon to be 8 I'm told)
and his sister Amanda age 4 spending two days indoors isn't much fun. So, departing the office with sucker in hand and Millie in tow,
they found their way back to the house to watch a movie. Tomorrow's rain free forecast = Story Land!
Dee Richards had a great idea... The families of Francis, John and Mark Chichester loaded up the gang (some got away before I got
the photo) and headed north to hang out with us at Weirs Beach. The sunny, warm and humid days of July prompted them to spend
a lot of time poolside and of course ... the obligatory run to Dunkin Donuts.
The eve of another Nascar event, June 2010. The usual crowd has returned once again to celebrate race weekend.
and to hang out with old friends after spending an afternoon on the lake. It's a wonderful mix being together while
enjoying our New Hampshire weather, tho .. ahem ...it did manage to rain just a tad. Conspicuously absent is Wilson.
Anybody see him around lately? And by the way, we love having you here too!
Ahhhh ... Aren't they cute? Can I keep them, huh, can I ??? The tradition continues: The return of good friends and good times, the return of the annual cookout, and the return
of rainy weather, tho it was not the soaker of last September/ Our Nascar buds.
Another Nascar event, this time sandwitched between bikeweek and the 4th of July weekend. The usual multitude of Nascar fans
arrived on schedule, despite the real prospect of rain on race day. As fortune would have it, it held off until the very
end. Welcome John, hope to see you again, and thanks to everyone for their annual Pilgriamage to Weirs Beach. Special
apreication goes to Cheryl and Lisa for the really good job they did to color within the lines of their pictures! Cheryl's 1st. place prize
is another package of peanut M&Ms.
Greg and Sue made it up from Glastonbury for the 2007 Nascar race as well, this time by bike. (Editor's note: Sue wasn't around for the photo, don't know the name of the fuzzy critter!) LABOR DAY, 2009 came to us as one of the best-ever 3 day weekend as far as the weather goes. After enduring a somewhat gloomy month of July and much of August, we received a rather deserved respite of 2 weeks of perfect weather. This in turn, encouraged folks to drive to the Weirs and hang out, enjoying the area. Bryan brought his red 1968 Chevy Impala up from Chicopee, MA and I can honestly say that his was the standout of all of the others in the lot. Detroit can learn a lot from their past and bring back those cars that are interesting, stylish and fun to drive. Bryan has been returning to us for years now and hopefully he will again next year and bring back the '68. Thanks for sharing! July 04, despite a long and somewhat miserable rainy month of June, the skies cleared long enough for some pool activities and for these guys to get some good riding in. Later, it's on to the fireworks. Seems that rain and gloomy weather were in plentiful supply before and after the 4th. These kids didn't seem to mind the rather cool water of the pool, as it felt good just to experience the return of the sun. Shannon and Amanda brought their parents back to the Weirs to spend another busy week and a celebration of sorts ear-marked the mid-way point of their visit. Shannon ordered several caterpillars and a neat habitat for them to live, thrive and after 6 weeks, transforming into butterfiles. She thought New Hampshire to be a fine place for them to build a new home, so they were released into the wild. Kinda cool to watch them fly away embracing their newly-found freedom, tho I'm sure that by now they must be homesick, and thinking back to the good ol' days when Shannon would feed them!
Meet Dan! He's been returning to the motel ever since he learned to walk (well ... almost) so he wanted to show us his new car. Guess much of it has plastic panels thus making it quite light. We caught him driving it into the office. Nice try Dan! This could be the start of something good, but without the wet stuff. Our Nascar friends returned to us again this year and we thought it would be fun to kick off our first annual cook out. Weather was just fine thank you, until we got the grill lit. So, despite soggy chips, wet feet and all that goes with it, we had a nice time. Ellen wanted to have everyone to hang out together to celebrate SoulFest, held each August at Gunstock. This annual event draws folks from all over and Donna and I enjoy seeing many of them each year. They stayed over at Pine Hollow in 3 of our "campominiums". Thanks for the visit! Christina is visiting from Romania and spending the summer with us helping to keep our rooms clean. We are getting ready to head out and check out some of New Hampshire's back roads! Nothing beats a run-and-jump into the cool pool on a warm summer day Meet James Fahey! Many of his friends and family came up to the Lakes region to celebrate his 85th birthday. By my count there were 15 of them here to extend to James their best wishes. I can only hope that I am doing as well in 28 years ... Running a small motel during a busy summer season keeps us going (often non-stop, or so it seems) but meeting such nice families is a major perk! Lunch with friends and family outdoors on a nice clear sunny day. Good Stuff! No Atkins fans here, as high carbs are the order of the day. You see, these folks from Quebec are gearing up for the annual Timberman triathlon to be held early the next morning. Hope y'all did great! Meet the Atwoood clan, who spent a perfect weekend with us to enjoy each others company and why not invite 15 lobsters for dinner.
Isn't August a wonderful time to hang out? They've held up the R&D Railroad! Great day to hang around the pool, especially July 04!! Labor Day: Nice weather, good friends, great to be ourdoors! Memorial Weekend: Perfect day to hang out! Thanks Mike and Karen ... great truck! An overcast and dreary day; Dave and Janet made it official. The two became one
on Saturday August 20th. With friends and family in attendance, their ceremony took place aboard the M/S Mt. Washington.
That afternoon their limo whisked everyone away to celebrate their first dinner together as husband and wife. Donna and I wish for you the best and many, many happy years! Michael, 3 1/2 years old (the one with the cool shades) told me he and his dad Chris pulled 6 BIG perch from Meredith Bay. A bit fishy, methinks! Warm sunny weather, combined with winding back roads draws folks to Weirs Beach, even as far away as California! R&D RAILROAD gets a fresh coat of paint from our helpers from Lithuania My Corvette buddies!. "Danny" and her mom spent a week with her grandparents touring the area. Thanks again for the great drawing you made! Friends and family and the hazy lazy days of summer! Great looking plant, huh? The motel gets a new sign! Dinner ... poolside! It's a cool and rainy day ... good day to take in a movie. Can't beat dining outdoors on July 04! (p.s. Thanks for the invite!) TLC & CO. Master Gardner General inspecting the troops . ** The bear, who lives in room 11, gets some fresh air and someone to play with! Greetings from us! 3rd. out with bases loaded ...
Off-site cabin with limited availability: please inquire A grrreat day to be visiting Weirs Beach! Alas, our 2005 season draws to a close. We thank all of you for a wonderful summer!

we will be happy to take a picture of you and put you in our photo gallery
here! Return to the Home Page Thank you for visiting us!
We have had the privilege over the past few
years of meeting folks from every walk of life and from all parts
of the world. This is dedicated to all of you...our guests!
Why not surprise mom,
Julie who was about to celebrate her ... I gotta be careful here, ***th (err, better make that **th ) birthday. Since Julie and her daughters spend a week with us each year
in the house why not book a room for a "quiet" weekend for just the two of them. Behind
the scenes she arranged for the entire family to surprise her at Patricks. Mission accomplished and all had a really nice weekend.
Good Job Dee !!

New friends from Plainfield Ct.!
